We had a wonderful time at the Girl Genius Book and Game Night hosted by Brick & Mortar Books. Thank you everyone! Also, thank you to all the backers of Cheapass Games' the Works card game Kickstarter campaign. The campaign ended while we were at the game night, and we all cheered...then breathed a sigh of relief. I wasn't running that one, thank goodness, but I still worry. On the other hand, it was a lot of fun to actually get a chance to sit down and play with the prototype cards James had printed up. We even had a visitor all the way from Norway, which was very exciting. (He was in the US for other reasons, but took the time to visit us! Yay!) In other news, the BackerKit invitations for our last Kickstarter campaign now have gone out via email. This is for Girl Genius: Kings and Wizards. Backers, please watch your inboxes. Backers at the $10 and up levels should also watch their inboxes, because the email download links for the PDF version have also gone out, and they'll be marked as coming from drivethrucomics.com. That can easily wind up in spam, so if you dont see yours, check your spam folder. If you aren't one of the backers getting the PDF version through the campaign, no worries, it's now available to buy over at drivethru if you want it. For those who missed the campaign, we will have our BackerKit store open for a little while. Most of the items in the BackerKit store will be available later from our regular online store, but the exclusives are there as well, so if you want one of the medals, patches, or Envelopes of Madness, you can still get in under the wire at BackerKit. (Backers, be sure to log in with your actual personalized invitation or the system won't recognize you.) Last of all, there's another sale going on at Offworld designs, the home of our Girl Genius T-shirts! --Kaja |
