Comic

Welcome back from the weekend, everyone. I'm still recovering, but I was finally able to sit up and get a page lettered! I'm sorry for skipping last week, but there was just no way anything was happening.

I spent yesterday rewatching the Back to the Future movies, but I stopped partway through the last one when I realized that my youngest kid hasn't seen any of the movies. So now we've started over, and I'm going to have to sit through my generations idea of what the future might be like one more time. It's for posterity. It's a lot of fun to rewatch one of the many things that were whispering quietly in the ears of teenage me: "You love Mad Science. You looooove Mad Science."

Oh, hey, edit: remember a while ago I was on about The Magnus Archives podcast and how much I like the music and sound design? Well, here's the Main Theme Breakdown, and, although, no, because it's technical, it's really cool.

----------

The following was posted last Friday, July 24, when there wasn't a page. I'm tucking it in here so it doesn't interfere with archive reading:

Hello everyone! Kaja here.

I'm home from the hospital, and officially COVID free. I had the test! The horrible one where they stick swabs way down into both nostrils.

Apparently what I've got is a really ferocious (and completely undeserved, I might add), E. coli infection which was giving me high fevers alternating with uncontrollable bouts of clenched muscle shaking, accompanied by huge amounts of migraine and back pain. So, yeah. That's been fun. I've been pumped full of antibiotics, narcotics, and anti-nausea meds, and they were slowly doing their job. The doctor said it would take a couple days before I feel better, and we're having to watch it, because of my Crohn's disease.

I was actually able to manage a shower yesterday, and only started to black out at the very end. Improvement! Also, now I don't stink. Lord, I was stinky. Thank you so much for your concern, everyone. I really appreciate hearing about all your good wishes. I'm wearing out again now, so I'm going to post this a couple of places and then close my eyes for a few minutes. I'll be back with the story soon, I'm so sorry for the delay! It wasn't even this bad back when I had surgery, I still got the page posted from the hospital, but this just wasn't the same, I could barely send texts, and sitting up wasn't happening.

Actually I'll add that the above was mostly written earlier, but I'm adding to it now because I'm still dragging around miserably and healing. I haven't been able to make it to my tools that I use to post directly to the web site until now, so I'm sorry a lot of the news of this has been going through fAcebook and other places like that. I hadn't expected this to eat a week! Thanks for your patience, I have great doctors and I'm doing what they tell me. Have a great weekend, everyone1
