TRANSLATION TIME! When there's a lot of Jäger talk, I sometimes translate! Here I go: Dimo says: "We set them up in one of the deep places. A nice place where they could work, and nobody would ever find them." "They had their whole program to rebuild, after all. The Baron's guys made sure they didn't have much left." Trelawney says: "But Ardsley Wooster was in those caverns! You're telling me you kept this a secret from her majesty's best operative for two years?" Dimo says: "Ho! The secret is lowered expectations, yeah?" "We Jaegers are very good with secrets when it is important!" "But I'm not saying it was easy. There were lots of times he almost found out. He was a smart guy, and a good one. We are all sorry he is gone." Trelawney says: "Thank you." Krosp says: "You hid them from Agatha. More important, you hid them from me." Dimo says: "Of course. She still had her mamma in her head, yeah? There were lots of things we didn't tell her. Or you, kitty." "When you showed up at the caverns with that weasel of hers, I thought it was one of ours, got loose! You nearly gave me a heart attack! I nearly gave away the whole thing, right there!" "But I didn't. I kept my head. I was very proud of that, but it was hard." -------------------------------------------------------------------- THEY'RE HERE! Magic the Gathering tokens with art by Phil! The campaign is now live, and has even funded! I love these so much, they remind me of Phil's old What's New comics from Dragon Magazine. They keep hitting stretch goals and adding new cards, it's fun to see! Here at the Studio, I'm finishing up the BackerKit pledge manager for Girl Genius Volume 21. I should have more info about that soon. I'm also dealing with unexpected water damage and mold in the bathroom and dining room. That's causing a lot of trouble and bringing workmen into the house daily. They're all really nice guys, though, and I think they'll be done fairly soon. I'm also gearing up to do a little mini-crowdfund project for some of our exclusive medals and other pointy-pinnish items. I might try a few different platforms just to see what life is like outside Kickstarter. First I need to finish that BackerKit pledge manager mentioned above though! I've finised five medal designs that I've been wanting to make for ages, I'll show them off soon. Two are exclusive collection-adjacent designs, one for the Exorcism Engines and one for An Entertainment in Londinium, and the other three are merch medals that I hope to take to conventions and events next Summer. They've just been sent to our pin maker, and I'm waiting to find out about their turnaround time for samples. I'll do a campaign with design art if I have to, but I'd rather have actual product shots if I can. Now that I'm home from the Summer traveling, I'm back to streaming games on Wednesdays. I'm ProfessoressaFoglio on Twitch, and official office hours are 6-9 PM Wednesdays, Seattle time. Join our mailing list! I might even get that newsletter done soon! I'm excited to try it out anyway. I'm collecting addresses over on girlgeniusart.com, my new SquareSpace site that I'm using as a place to list our original art. Phil has just finished prepping two more sets for me to find time to list. Oh goody. --Kaja ---------------------------------------------------------------- |
